PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a frame rate of a CCD-type solid-state imaging element while inhibiting disturbance of an output signal waveform. SOLUTION: The CCD-type solid-state imaging element includes a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements formed in a two-dimensional array on a semiconductor substrate, each of which accumulates a signal charge depending on a light received quantity, a charge transfer path for transferring a signal charge read from the photoelectric conversion elements to an output end, and charge detectors provided at the output end of the charge transfer path for receiving the transferred signal charge, outputting a voltage value signal depending on an electric charge, and also disposing of the signal charge after outputting. The charge detectors 104 and 105 are provided in the vertical direction with respect to the transfer direction of the path 103, and in addition the plurality of charge detectors 104 and 105 are arranged along the transfer direction.
