PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve temperature distribution on shelves in the refrigerator, in a direct cooling refrigerator having a function of draining defrosted water in a refrigerating room to the outside of the refrigerating room. SOLUTION: A decorative cover 20 is provided between the back surface of an inner casing and the back surfaces of the shelves in the refrigerator to be opposed to the back surface of the inner casing with a space, two or more decorated cover holes 21 are formed into the decorated cover 20, ribs 22 extending toward the back surface of the inner casing are arranged under the decorated cover holes to receive cooling air, and the total area of the decorated cover holes positioned above the uppermost shelf in the refrigerator is enlarged larger than the total area of the decorated cover holes positioned between the lowermost shelf in the refrigerator and the shelf in the refrigerator above the lowermost shelf. Thereby, the uppermost shelf in the refrigerator can be also certainly cooled, and temperature distribution can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
