PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an organic inorganic composite filler having a narrow particle diameter range without requiring pulverization or classification. SOLUTION: The method for producing the organic inorganic composite filler is characterized as follows. Inorganic aggregated particles obtained by spray drying, etc., of inorganic particles and having≤70% CV (coefficient of variation) of particle size are brought into contact with a liquid polymerizable monomer under reduced pressure and the pressure is then restored to penetrate the polymerizable monomer into aggregation interstices of primary particles of the inorganic aggregated particles. The polymerizable monomer is subsequently polymerized and cured to produce the organic inorganic composite filler having≤70% CV of the particle size. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
