PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crime prevention device of elevators capable of setting a predetermined area without requiring a remarkable modification and monitoring with high accuracy according to the state of use by each passenger. SOLUTION: This crime prevention device of elevators comprises a crime prevention camera 11 installed in a car, a predetermined area setting means 12C for pre-setting a predetermined area according to an image signal from the crime prevention camera 11, alarm means 12B, 12E, 14 for emitting alarm when detecting at least two passengers in the predetermined area according to the image signal from the crime prevention camera 11, a passenger authentication means 12F for authenticating a specified passenger, an area storage means 12D for pre-storing the predetermined area related to the specified passenger, and an area selection means 12B for selecting the predetermined area corresponding to the passenger authenticated by the passenger authentication means from the area storage means. The predetermined area is set by using the image signal from the crime prevention camera 11.
