The exhaust gas cleaner has a filter for interception of particle material in exhaust gas, a regeneration mechanism to accomplish a multiple filter regeneration for regenerating the filter. The regeneration mechanism decides the time for execution of each filter regeneration. The multiple filter regeneration contains regeneration and another regeneration which is attached to the former regeneration. A correcting device is provided for correcting decision value, which is used for regulation of time for execution of the latter regeneration on the basis of the maximum temperature, of filter.
