PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device capable of simplifying input operation of a password number for bringing a vehicle into a usable state in emergency when a portable machine cannot be used.

SOLUTION: This vehicle control device 70 authenticates a use permission of a motorcycle 1 by a communication system using a smart key 50. The device 70 is provided with a system display part 10 flickering when inputting the password number for authenticating the use permission of the motorcycle 1 without using the smart key 50 in emergency, and a hazard switch 6 for inputting the password number by the number of times of flickering of the system display part 10.
