PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a headphone and a head mounted display to make it difficult that an operation sound of an operating equipment mounted to a headphone housing becomes noise of a sound output. SOLUTION: The headphone 1 is comprised of the headphone housing 2 and a headphone case 3 as main parts, and both the housing and the case are rotatably joined together by a joint 4 having a spherical washer. A switch 5 of an operation member is attached to the headphone housing 2 as shown in the figure, a sound absorbing material 6 consisting of a rubber intervenes between the switch 5 and the headphone housing 2, and the operation sound (vibration) of the switch 5 is hard to travel to the headphone housing 2.
