PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear cutting device capable of giving a sufficient torque to a work for gear and obtaining a high precision work for gear. SOLUTION: The device includes a first center 20 fitted on one end of a rod-like work for gear 10A, a second center 30 fitted on the other end, and a rotary base 40A rotated together with the second center 30. In the axial middle of the work 10A, a flange 14A is provided with a knife edge 50 provided on the rotary base 40A biting thereinto.
