PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a dispersion in which an inorganic particle with an average particle diameter of not more than 20 nm is uniformly dispersed, under decided dispersion conditions which can easily and certainly disperse inorganic particles up to primary particles. SOLUTION: This method for manufacturing the dispersion of the inorganic particle containing at least, an organic solvent, the inorganic particle and a dispersant comprises the steps of filling a bead mill vessel with beads with not less than 0.01 mm to not more than 0.1 mm average particle diameter, to 20 vol.% or above to 85 vol.% or below of the vessel capacity, and dispersing the inorganic particle with not less than 1 nm and not more than 20 nm average primary particle diameter in a dispersion medium containing 0.1 wt.% or above dispersant for the amount of the inorganic particle and the organic solvent, according to conditions of 8 m/s or above to 15 m/s or below rotary peripheral velocity of bead mill rotor and 10°C or above to 40°C or below temperature of the dispersant during dispersion process.
