PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively acquire the characteristic (the range of a so-called carry) of a cue stick for the billiard. SOLUTION: This evaluation device 31 for the cue stick 1 is provided with a hammer-shaped member 32 pushing out the cue stick, guide members 33 and 34 guiding the pushed-out cue stick to its tip direction, a cue ball supporting member 35 supporting a cue ball A hit by the cue stick, and a moving direction detecting board 36 detecting the moving direction of the cue ball hit by the cue stick; and quantitatively acquires the carrying range based on the moving direction of the cue ball detected by the moving direction detecting board.
