PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning method in which the positioning accuracy of a droplet discharge nozzle in a head unit is improved by suppressing the positioning error of the droplet discharge nozzle to the reference point of the droplet discharge head, a head unit assembling method, a head unit assembling apparatus, a head unit and a droplet discharge apparatus. SOLUTION: The head unit assembling method of forming a head unit by positioning and fixing a plurality of the droplet discharge heads of the head unit having the plurality of the droplet discharge heads fixed to a unit plate to a prescribed position in the unit plate has a positioning adjusting step for positioning the droplet discharge head having the droplet discharge nozzles to a prescribed position in the unit plate by positioning the gravity center point of≥2 droplet discharge nozzles in the plurality of the droplet discharge nozzles provided in the respective droplet discharge head to a prescribed position.
