The invention relates to device for testing oil and gas properties in formation conditions. The inventive device comprises a piston container (1) with a test sample, a unit for transferring the sample from the piston container (1) to a measuring press which consists of two piston pumps (8, 9) having equal performance, one of which supplies the sample from the piston container (1), and the other lowers a floating piston (2) in the measuring press. The measuring press is provided with a floating piston (43), an ultrasound linear displacement transducer (44) for determining the oil volume and with an electronic linear displacement transducer (48) for determining the volume of gas. A circulation piston pump (55) is used for producing a unidirectional continuous oil flow at a controllable rate. A viscometer is provided with a bypass having a lockup valve (69). A common thermostatic system (78) encompasses the all elements of the device. The inventive device makes it possible to increase the accuracy for determining oil and gas volumes, oil viscosity and to reduce a time required for measuring the characteristics of samples in formation conditions, thereby increasing the operating efficiency thereof.
