A method for setting color processing parameters and a digital imaging apparatus are provided to perform color processing at high speed on the basis of set parameters and evaluate a color image, thereby adjusting the parameters in a short time. A method for setting color processing parameters in a digital imaging apparatus comprises the following steps of: connecting a computer and a digital imaging apparatus, which performs color processing of image data photographed by an imaging device through a color processing unit to generate color image data, through a communication path; setting parameters used in the color processing in the computer(S2); transferring the parameters from the computer to the digital imaging apparatus through the communication path; allowing the color processing unit to perform the color processing on the basis of the parameters under the control of an emulator operated in the digital imaging apparatus(S15); and storing the color image data generated by the color processing based on the parameters in memory(S16). |
