The rib (1) is evenly formed and is visible on a rib package with a given rib division. Openings (2) are provided with collar (3) for the admission of flat pipes as well as spacer for adherence to the rib division. The collar executes the function of contact- or clamping surfaces and the function of the distance control and the functions are separated from each other. The collar distributed over the circumference, is divided into subranges. The pipes and rib are produced from an aluminum material or an aluminum alloy. An independent claim is also included for a method for production of a heat exchanger.
