FIELD: process engineering. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to woodworking equipment. Proposed band mill comprises bed, drive motor, sawing unit with drive and drive pulleys furnished with guide holding band mill, movable table located between pulleys to effect 2D motion between top and bottom runs of band mill. Band mill has bed consisting of top and bottom rectangular frames coupled by posts. Four of said posts are located in angles, and two posts stay at the center, in the same plane with band mill frame. Two front posts are shorter than the others and rest upon bed bottom frame via cams. Table rests upon bed with the help of four screws attached to it in angles, screw nuts being fitted in rolling bearings fitted on bed top frame and articulated between themselves. Main motor drive is fitted on two vertical guides arranged at the center below drive pulley and linked up with driven pulley via chain- or V-belt drive. Additional motor is furnished with half-coupling and located on bracket aligned with drive pulley shaft to move along common axis. ^ EFFECT: higher accuracy and stability, reduced weight. ^ 4 cl, 3 dwg |
