METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TRANSFORMING OBJECT VERTICES DURING RENDERING OF GRAPHICAL OBJECTS FOR DISPLAY

A method and an apparatus for transmitting object vertices during rendering of graphical objects for display are provided to transform object vertices in an object space into object vertices in a clip space by multiplying the object vertices in the object space by a product matrix, thereby obtaining new methods and apparatuses capable of transmitting object vertices during rendering of graphical objects. A method for transmitting object vertices comprises the following steps of: checking state information so as to determine whether the state information indicates that a product matrix is not to be used(300); performing the multiplication if the product matrix is to be used(304); and multiplying each object vertex in an object space by a model-view matrix to transform each object vertex to an eye space and multiplying each object vertex in the eye space by a projection matrix to transform each object vertex to a clip space if the product matrix is not to be used(306).
