The valve assembly (1) has a valve housing (2) and a closing body (4), which is subjected to a force of a permanent magnet (6) in a direction. The closing body is moved against the force of the permanent magnet over an electro magnet (12), so that a pressurized medium flow is controlled from pressure medium inlet (8) to a pressure medium outlet (10). The permanent magnet is arranged outside the pressurized medium flow from the pressure medium inlet to the pressure medium outlet.
