The barrier is formed from side panels pivotally connected to front and back panels, the height of the back panels being less than that of the front panels, with a bottom panel pivotally connected to one of the front, back or side panels so that the barrier can be moved between a first, erected configuration where the barrier forms a compartment with the bottom panel attached to at least one additional panel and a second, collapsed configuration where the bottom panel is folded against one of the other panels to allow the remaining panels to pivot to a flattened configuration. The barrier is preferably self-supporting in the erected configuration and the compartment is preferably filled with sand, earth, soil, concrete etc. to weight it down. The panels are preferably formed from mesh material sized to inhibit climbing on the barrier. A number of barriers can be deployed together to form a security wall. Also claimed is a method of forming a secure 90 degree turn in an erected security wall formed from a number of multi-compartment security barriers. |
