An outdoor unit of an air conditioner and a control box thereof are provided to effectively decrease internal temperature of the control box by mounting a PFC circuit board and a driving part in the control box, thereby reducing instability and loss of power caused by harmonic waves. An outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes a control box(140) incorporating control parts and formed with an air inlet. A PFC(Power Factor Correction) circuit board(220) is disposed in the control box and prevents internal temperature from rising. A driving part(142) is disposed in the air inlet of the control box and controls the current of the PFC circuit board. A heat sink(146) is connected to the control box and exhausts air to the outside. A fan motor(144) blows air passing through the air inlet to the heat sink.
