A welding apparatus for a pole pipe is provided to automatically weld a pipe that is formed in a tapered shape due to different thicknesses at both ends of the pipe by transferring forward in a state that the pipe is supported to an upper side and maintaining joining faces of the pipe uniformly. In a welding apparatus for welding joining faces of a sheet to form a pipe, a welding apparatus for a pole pipe comprises: a transfer unit(20) including a hook(25) of which one side is connected to a chain(22), and of which the other side presses an end of a pipe(1) such that the pipe is transferred forward by the chain; a supporting unit(30) including a supporting bracket(32) on which a supporting plate(33) is formed, and which is inserted into the pipe to support load of the pipe and support joining faces such that the joining faces are not distorted; a pressing unit(40) including a plurality of cylinders(42) to which a roller(44) is connected to press a top face and both side faces of the pipe that has passed through the supporting unit; and a welding unit(50) which is placed on a welding bracket(52) at an upper side of a welding frame(51), and which includes a welding nozzle(53).
