FIELD: medical equipment. ^ SUBSTANCE: device combined with pressurising source of biologically compatible fluid in gastrointestinal (GI) tract contains: extended bearing component inserted through proximal aperture of GI tract cavity; and piston head attached to distal part of the bearing component. The piston head is designed so that to generate contact compression to cavity wall after the bearing component is inserted in the cavity, to advance distally to external surface of distal piston head and to be extracted proximally through body cavity under pressure generated by pressurising source of fluid. ^ EFFECT: minimised pain and discomfort associated with gastrointestinal tract examination. ^ 41 cl, 15 dwg |
