The invention relates to a chamber for a positive displacement rotary machine and to the stage thereof consisting of several chambers. The piston (4) of a positive displacement rotary machine which is arranged in the groove (16) of a rotor (2) carries out rotational oscillations without being exposed to important inertial loads even at the high rotation speed of the positive displacement rotary machine, since masses distributed near a plane, which intersects the axis of rotation of the piston in a perpendicular position to the axis of rotation of the rotor (2) when the piston is in the intermediate position thereof, perform said oscillation substantially by means of centrifugal forces originated when the piston (4) rotates together with the rotor (2). Additional sealing and synchronising elements which are mounted on the piston (4) near said plane practically do not increase the inertial load applied there to, thereby improving the condition of the interaction thereof (contact and sliding) with the flat surface (8) of the body (1). The inventive positive displacement rotary machine exhibits hight specific characteristics, a potentially longer service life and has geometrically simple surfaces. Said positive displacement rotary machine can be used for multistage bottom hole pumps. |
