A spot welding method is provided to be able to increase welding strength of spot welded welds when spot welding two welding workpieces, and a weldment spot welded by the spot welding method. In a spot welding method for inserting two high strength steel(AHSS) sheets between two electrodes(14,15) of a spot welding machine, pressing the high strength steel sheets and applying an electric current to the high strength steel sheets through the electrodes to generate resistance heat, and spot welding two points of the high strength steel sheets using the resistance heat, the spot welding method comprises inserting a plate-like thermal conductor(12) between two sheets of high strength steel and spot welding the high strength steel sheets(11,13) of a thermal conductor-inserted part. The thermal conductor is a material selected from copper(Cu), silver(Ag), iron(Fe), and gold(Au). The thermal conductor has a thickness of 0.05 to 0.3 mm.
