A pharmaceutical composition comprising nateglinide is provided to be able to be easily granulated by combining the nateglinide with a water-insoluble excipient and be well compression-molded and rapidly disintegrate the nateglinide even without using a strong disintegrating agent, thereby improving the formulation processability and rapidly eluting the nateglinide. A pharmaceutical composition for oral administration containing nateglinide comprises 10-75 wt.% of a water-insoluble excipient including silicified microcrystalline cellulose and does not comprise a strong disintegrating agent. The composition further comprises a disintegrating agent, a binding agent, a surfactant, a lubricant or a combination thereof, and the water-insoluble excipien is manufactured by combining Pregelatinized Starch, fine crystal cellulose and silicifying fine crystal cellulose.
