A method for preparing platinum-supported on titania-silica is provided to improve the thermal stability of the platinum-supported on titania-silica, by forming a silica-platinum precursor and making the silica-platinum precursor reacting with a titania precursor under an acid condition. A mesoporous silica-platinum precursor is formed by mixing a platinum precursor having a hydrogen-bonding group and a colloid silica sol in which silica spherical particles are dispersed. A platinum-supported on titania-silica is prepared by making the silica-platinum precursor with a titania precursor and hardening the reacting result under an acid condition. The platinum precursor has a hydrogen-bonding functional group selected from a halogen atom, a hydroxyl group, and a nitrate group. Further, a size of the silica particle is 5 - 50 nm, and the titania precursor is titanium alkoxide. |
