A vehicle seat (1), in particular a seat bench for a motor vehicle, can be secured detachably to the vehicle floor (2) by means of at least one gripping mouth (11) which engages around a mount (5). According to the invention, means for compensating for tolerances between gripping mouth (11) and mount (5) are provided, which means are effective preferably in all of the axes of coordinates of the vehicle and oppose production of noise during operation of the vehicle.
