A target location guide service system using a mobile communication terminal and a method thereof are provided to offer target location guide information including traffic information to the corresponding terminal as a short message so that the target location guide information can be easily and effectively supplied, thereby increasing the convenience of a user. A particular mobile communication terminal inputs service conditions to demand a target location guide service, and sends the inputted conditions(202-212). Location information of at least one target mobile communication terminal to which target location guide information is to be provided is requested and received according to the transmitted conditions(214,216). Traffic information searched according to the service conditions and the received location information is provided(218,220). Target location guide information including the traffic information is generated and provided to the at least one target terminal through a wireless communication network(222).
