INORGANIC/ORGANIC NANO COMPOSITE COATED PHOSPHOR POWDER FOR PDP OR LED

An inorganic/organic fluorescent material and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to extend a lifetime of light emitting device by applying inorganic/organic nano composite on a surface of the fluorescent material. A white light emitting diode includes a blue LED(Light Emitting Diode) chip(9), a hardening unit(3), a reflector(4), an anode electrode(6), a cathode electrode(7), and a lead frame(5). A fluorescent material(2) is uniformly diffused on epoxy resin. An inorganic/organic nano composite is coated on the hardening unit. The hardening unit is applied on the blue LED chip and cured for one hour at a temperature between 100 and 160 °C. The inorganic/organic nano composite is made of a metal oxide and a polymer. The fluorescent material is selected from the group consisting of(Ba,Ca,Cn,Ga,Sr,Y,Zn)S:(Bi,Ce,Cl,Cr,Cu,Co,Er,Eu,K,Tb,Tm).
