摘要 An electronic throttle control system of a vehicle and a method thereof are provided to improve accelerating performance by modeling the quantity of loading of a vehicle and actively adjusting the degree of opening of a throttle valve in accordance with the quantity of loading. An electronic throttle control system of a vehicle, includes an engine RPM detection unit(S101), an accelerator pedal position sensor(S103), a gear shift range detection unit(S105), an accelerator sensor(S107), a controller, and a driving unit. The engine RPM detection unit detects engine RPM, and provides the detected engine RPM to the controller. The accelerator pedal position sensor detects displacement of an accelerator pedal, and provides the detected displacement to the controller. The gear shift range detection unit provides information on the current gear shift stage to the controller. The accelerator sensor is vertically mounted on a vehicle, and provides acceleration information to the controller. The controller calculates the gradient of the traveling zone from the information of the accelerator sensor, calculates the quantity of loading, and calculates the degree of opening of a throttle valve by applying the calculated quantity of loading to the displacement of the accelerator pedal detected by the accelerator pedal position sensor and engine RPM detected by the engine RPM detection unit. The driving unit adjusts the degree of opening of the throttle valve by driving a DC motor mounted on a throttle body in accordance with the control signal output from the controller.
