A separation method for recycling filter materials and a filter material separating device are provided to reduce the cost for exchanging the filter material by classifying the filter materials with different properties and functions by difference of specific gravity and to improve the separation efficiency of the filter materials by increasing the flowability of the filter materials by bubbles. A separation method for recycling filter materials comprises the steps of: cleaning the polluted filter materials such as gravel, silica, anthracite, and activated carbon; classifying the cleaned filter materials moving along sorting nets(22~24), according to the size by vibrating the sorting nets arranged in order according to the different mesh sizes, by a vibrator(30); and floating and separating anthracite or activated carbon of light specific gravity by mixing silica and anthracite, or silica and activated carbon of the similar size of the sorted filter material, with the water and moving the mixture. |
