The oxidative base is o- or p-phenylenediamine, double base, o- or p-aminophenols, heterocyclic bases or their additive salts of acids. The base oxidative dye is present at 0.0005-12 wt.%. The coupler is m-aminophenols, m-phenylenediamines, m-diphenols, naphthols, heterocyclic couplers or their additive salts with acid. The coupler is present at 0.0001-15 wt.%. #CMT#PHARMACEUTICALS : #/CMT# Preferred Composition: The composition comprises the polymer at 0.1-10 wt.%. The composition further comprises an oxidant. #CMT#POLYMERS : #/CMT# Preferred Components: The acrylamide monomer is of formula -[CH 2-C(R 1)(C(=O)(R 2))]-. The dialkyldiallyl ammonium halide monomer is of formula (a). The vinyl carboxylic acid monomer is of formula -[CH 2-C(R 6)(C(=O)(R 7))]-. The polymer comprises the acrylamide monomer at 45-55 mol.%, vinyl carboxylic acid monomer at >= 30 mol.% and the dialkyldiallyl ammonium halide monomer at >= 25 mol.%. The polymer is acrylamide-dimethyldiallylammonium chloride-acrylic acid terpolymer.
