An end loop (1) is formed, by attachment of the rope (2) back to itself. A toggle (8) is included. This is orientated at right angles to the direction of tension in the rope. The rope loop is formed by stitching parallel sections of the loop together. The loop is alternatively formed by a casing around the parallel rope sections. The casing is metal or plastic and is pressed around the rope sections. The rope sections are alternatively surrounded by filling, welding, extrusion or casting, using a thermoplastic- or a thermoset material. The loop is formed by welding together the plastic of the parallel rope sections. In a further alternative, a suitable material is wound-around the parallel rope sections. The toggle is held in or on a tape loop (6), which is fixed to the rope loop. The tape loop is incorporated into the rope loop, especially by sewing. The toggle is fastened in place, to prevent loss. It comprises metal, steel, aluminum, cast iron or a composite. It is especially fiber-reinforced plastic. It is rubber-encapsulated.
