A water tank for collecting floating materials on the surface of the water is provided to keep the surface of the water clean by collecting polluted floating materials on the surface of the water, and separating and removing the deposited floating materials. A water tank for collecting floating materials on the surface of the water is formed by placing an upper float(3) on the water gate for generating buoyant force, and forming wrinkles on two sides of a water gate(2) formed to be higher than the surface of the water for letting floating materials on the surface of the water enter a tank(1), wherein if the water level rises at the outside of the tank and the water gate is pushed inward with water pressure, the water gate is laid and opened to let floating materials on the surface of the water flow in the tank, and when the water flew in the tank passes through a lower partition(4), floating materials having a high specific gravity are settled at the bottom of a first tank and floating materials having a low specific gravity stay in the first tank of an upper partition(5), and when deep water passes through a lower horizontal waterway and a lower partition, floating materials having a high specific gravity are settled at the bottom of a second tank and floating materials having a low specific gravity stay in the second tank, and water flows out through the upper partition, the lower horizontal waterway and the lower partition, thereby purifies floating materials. |
