摘要 An apparatus and a method for controlling oxygen concentration in a reheating furnace by flue gas purging are provided to prevent the oxygen amount from being increased excessively by supplying only oxygen with a proper concentration into flue gas through recirculation of flue gas, and increase radiation efficiency by preventing the amount of NOx from being increased and increasing partial pressures of CO2 and H2O in the reheating furnace through a reaction by a flow of combustion gas. An apparatus for controlling oxygen concentration in a reheating furnace by flue gas purging comprises a pipe line(101) for recirculating flue gas(7) sucked in from a uptake flue(8), a flue gas cooling heat exchanger(102) for lowering temperature of flue gas used in purging, and a filter part(104) for removing dust and soot contained in the flue gas, wherein the pipeline includes: a by-pass line(103) for detouring the flue gas in a state that the flue gas does not passes through the flue gas cooling heat exchanger when temperature of the flue gas is low; and a by-pass valve(105) for sensing temperature of the flue gas to control inflow of the flue gas into the by-pass line.
