<p>A cutting method where, to cut work (W) by an endless band saw blade (13) passed over a driving wheel (29) and a driven wheel (31), forced vibration is applied to the driving wheel (29). The forced vibration causes vibration in the direction of rotation of the driving wheel (29) and vibration in the direction of rotation of the driven wheel (31) to have phases substantially inverted with respect to each other. To vibrate the driving wheel (29) in the direction of its rotation, a pulse having a frequency of 116 Hz-135 Hz, or preferably, a pulse having a frequency of 127 Hz is applied to a driving motor (37) for driving the driving wheel (29).</p> |
