An evacuation unit (7) evacuates water contained in the tank towards an aquarium (1). Another water evacuation unit (10) evacuates water contained in the aquarium towards a domestic evacuation network of used water. The device permits changing of the water in the aquarium in a periodic and automatic manner. The tank is made of opaque and biocompatible material for avoiding development of microorganism in water, thus limiting the risk of inappropriate modification of physiochemical characteristics of water in the tank. The filling of the tank and the filling of the aquarium can be made simultaneously, thus permitting limitation of the volume of the tank.
