<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for a power source capable of stopping charging to a backup power source from a charging circuit, with no increase in scale of a circuit. <P>SOLUTION: A device 10 for a power source supplies power to other circuits, and comprises a backup battery 12 for supplying power to other circuits if supplying of power from a main battery is interrupted, and a charging circuit 14 which supplies a power required for charging the backup battery 12, using the power supplied from the main battery. An inspection terminal 15 is provided between the charging circuit 14 and the backup battery 12. A voltage equal to or higher than that applied to the backup battery 12 form the charging circuit 14, is applied to the inspection terminal 15 from a DC power source 13 of an inspection device 20.
