<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a light storage plate which can be seen even at night or in a dark place, and particularly a thin and high-strength light storage plate without causing a crack or the like on a printed face when manufacturing the plate. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the light storage plate comprises: making a metal sheet (W) having glass frit and a light-storing material printed thereon supported at a plurality of supporting points 2 in the vicinity of the ends to make the metal sheet (W) horizontally held; placing stoppers 3 for limiting the deflection of the metal sheet (W) below the back surface in the vicinity of the central part of the light storage plate; burning the metal sheet (W) while keeping the state to melt the glass frit; and subsequently cooling the metal sheet (W) to solidify the glass frit and make the metal sheet (W)shrink.
