<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enclosed switchgear compact and high in the reliability of insulation wherein residual direct-current voltage can be attenuated in a short time. <P>SOLUTION: A residual voltage attenuator is provided on the inner surface 2 of an enclosed vessel encircling a high-voltage conductor 1. The attenuator is constructed of: an insulator 3 and a plate-like or net-like electrode member 5 laminated from the side of the inner surface 2 of the enclosed vessel in this order, and a needle-like or foil-like lightweight metal piece 4 whose end is attached as a fulcrum 6 on the electrode member 5. That is, the attenuator is so constructed that the insulator 3 is sandwiched between the electrode member 5 and the inner surface 2 of the enclosed vessel.
