PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system with an authentication function during incoming call response capable of serving an operator for every response operation of an extension terminal with an authentication function, and furthermore, activating an incoming call response service by a master device corresponding to a caller ID informed by a calling party. SOLUTION: The telephone system comprises a master device, a plurality of extension terminals with an authentication information input function, and a plurality of extension terminals, etc. The extension terminal with the authentication information input function comprises an authentication information input means. The master device comprises a personal authentication means for specifying a relevant person from an authentication information, and a personal incoming call response service storage means for accumulating a personal incoming call response service corresponding to combination of the authentication information and a caller ID. When an extension terminal is operated; an authentication information of a person who operates the terminal is acquired, and the acquired authentication information is transmitted to the master device. The master device retrieves an incoming call response service to be activated from combination of the authentication information and the caller ID, and executes the incoming call response operation automatically according to the retrieved incoming call response service.
