PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stretching machine of a sheetlike article capable of variably regulating a stretching quantity with respect to a plurality of directions by a simple structure and enhancing the stretching efficiency and yield of the sheetlike article. SOLUTION: The endless link device is constituted so as to guide plurality of equal length links for grasping the sheetlike article along a pair of rails on outer and inner peripheral sides which constitute a closed route and equipped with a moving means, which moves a support of a rail on a film side and a rail on an anti-film side for supporting the respective rails on the outer and inner peripheral sides and a support member for supporting the feed and return side rails of the rails on the outer and inner peripheral sides, in the width direction of the sheetlike article and a regulation means for regulating the interval between the support members on the film side and the anti-film side. The mutual interval between the equal length links is changed by regulating the interval between the support members on the film side and the anti-film side to regulate the stretching quantity in the feed direction of the sheetlike article.
