<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device that can sufficiently prevent an unfinished state of wiping on an electrostatic latent image carrier or filming on a developing roller surface and give high-quality images for a long period of time while suppressing degradation of toner even when an irregular toner is used. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device allows a toner regulating roller (1) having an elastic force of 1.6 N or lower to press-contact a developing roller (2) while generating a line pressure of 5 to 30 N/m and to rotate in a counter direction against the developing roller to form a toner thin layer on the developing roller surface, and is characterized in that a circumferential velocity ratio of the toner regulating roller to the developing roller (toner regulating roller/developing roller) is 3.00 or less and that the toner has an average circularity of 0.950 or more and a volume average particle size of 4.0 to 9.0μm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
