PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image display device for performing rotation adjustment around the orthogonally crossing three axes of a display unit or an image pickup unit in a batch. SOLUTION: This image display device 1 is provided with: an image pickup unit 21 including an image pickup element 22; a display unit 10 including a display element 12 for displaying an image generated by using an output from the image pickup element and an observation optical system 11 for observing an image displayed at the display element; and a connection mechanism 15 for rotationally connecting one unit between the image pickup unit and the display unit to the other unit around mutually orthogonally crossing three axes. This image display device is provided with a single lock member 18 to be operated for fixing one unit around the three axes in an connection mechanism, and for releasing the fixing of the unit.
