PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a karaoke apparatus capable of starting karaoke performance in short latency. SOLUTION: Several karaoke apparatuses A to E are connected to a network 1 such as an Ethernet. Each karaoke apparatus stores several musical piece data and general use video data which are background videos corresponding to each genre of karaoke music, and performs karaoke music according to a request of the user. Further, the karaoke apparatuses store individual video data corresponding to a part of the karaoke musical pieces. The karaoke apparatus request the other karaoke apparatuses to acquire the individual video data through the network. The karaoke apparatus, when the other karaoke apparatuses cannot acquire the individual video data even after a lapse of predetermined time, starts karaoke performance using the general use video data stored in own apparatus.
