PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray image diagnostic apparatus which facilitates a search of reference image data matching a set imaging angle. SOLUTION: The X-ray image diagnostic apparatus is equipped with an X-ray generating part 1 for irradiating a subject P with X rays, an X-ray detecting part 2 for detecting the X rays transmitting through the subject P, a mechanism part 3 for setting an imaging angle for the X-ray generating part 1 and the X-ray detecting part 2, an image data generating part 61 for generating reference image data from X-ray projection data output from the X-ray detecting part 2, an image data storage part 62 for storing reference image data generated from a plurality of imaging angles, and an image data searching part 7 for reading the reference image data from the image data storage part 62 and performing the reduction. The image data searching part 7 reads a first reference image data to which information on the imaging angle within a prescribed range of the first imaging angle set at implementing a reference image display operation from an operational part 9 is added and reduces the first reference image data to display on a monitor R82.
