NONAQUEOUS ELECTROLYTE SECONDARY BATTERY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolytic solution secondary battery excellent in cycle characteristic.

SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a negative electrode 10 provided with an active material layer 12 containing active material particles 12a formed of a silicon material. The specific resistance of the negative electrode 10 is 20 to 900 mΩ cm as measured after the repetition of charge/discharge of the secondary battery of not less than 50% of the battery capacity at least five times. The active material particles 12a are preferably formed of metallic silicon specified in JIS G2312. Further, a coating of a metal material 13 is preferably formed by electrolytic plating using a copper pyrophosphate bath.
