<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing memory capable of accessing data covering a plurality of rows and a plurality of columns by one cycle, and in the case of accessing data covering different blocks, capable of accessing necessary data by one cycle. <P>SOLUTION: The memory for simultaneously accessing L pixel data from a memory cell group arranged in a matrix by a row decoder and a column decoder is provided with a multiword access circuit for selecting optional 1 to L rows from all rows by the row decoder. The memory cell group is divided in each block logically composed of pixel data of M×N (number of rows×number of columns), the row decoder selects continuous L rows in different blocks and the column decoder selects L columns in different blocks to be accessed to access vertical data on an image frame.
