PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in renewal work of an existing concrete building wherein a reinforcing method causing no odor of an organic solvent or the like is demanded because reinforcing measures against the degradation of structural proof stress of a beam is indispensable when a through hole is provided in the concrete beam and there are many cases where reinforcing work is carried out in the residing state of residents, and durability and weather resistance over a long period of time are further demanded as the reinforcing measures, and furthermore, a reinforcing effect hard to lose even if the building is hit by a fire is demanded in a concrete member reinforcing method. SOLUTION: The method and structure for reinforcing an opening of a concrete beam having the through hole comprises providing both opening faces of the beam with reinforcing plates, arranging a cylindrical core to penetrate the reinforcing plate, the beam and the reinforcing plate, sealing a clearance between each reinforcing plate and the beam by providing a form at the outer edge of the reinforcing plate, and filling a closed space with shrinkage-compensating grout mortar to integrate the reinforcing plates, a shrinkage-compensating grout mortar hardened body and the beam.
