PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spiro compound for an electroluminescence element which has excellent light emitting properties, and an electroluminescence element containing the spiro compound. SOLUTION: The spiro compound for an electroluminescence element and the electroluminescence element containing the same are provided. The spiro compound is applicable to all of the hole injection layer, the hole transport layer, the light emitting layer, the electron transport layer, and the electron injection layer of an electroluminescence element; can realize various colors with low energy; and enhances the luminance and the luminance efficiency of the electroluminescence element.
