PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor having an ESR lower than that of a conventional solid electrolytic capacitor by a simple process. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing a solid electrolytic capacitor where a conductive polymer layer is formed in a capacitor element, produced by winding an anode foil having an oxide coating on the surface and a cathode foil while interposing a separator, by immersing the capacitor element into oxidizing agent solution and polymerizable monomer solution thereby chemically polymerizing the polymerizable monomer, a step for immersing the capacitor element into the oxidizing agent solution and then taking out and drying the capacitor element is repeated 2-4 times in the immersion process, and then the capacitor element is immersed into the polymerizable monomer solution.
